After three years of the Covid-19 pandemic, I was so happy that I had the opportunity to perform at the 2023 Chinese New Year Performance Gala in person on Feb. 4, 2023, at John Dickson High School in Delaware. It was such a great opportunity to honor our ancestors and come together with our friends, families, and the Asian community.

I am so honored to have an opportunity to sing one of my favorite Chinese solos "Mama in the Candlelight' in front of a packed audience.  A huge thank you to my partner Angela Zhang, who was gracious enough to add her own beautiful choreography to the performance.  On behalf of all the children,  I extended my gratitude to all the moms who have been supporting their children tremendously during the past difficult time.

I am extremely grateful to be given the chance to represent my culture and to promote diversity and inclusion. Thanks to the tremendous support from Mr. Carney, our governor, Senator Coons and Senator Carper, and Mrs. Lisa Blunt Rochester, our state House Representative for the DCAA (Delaware Chinese American Association) for the past 25 years. Despite the political and racial divide in this country, I am confident that our community will collectively become stronger and better if we all learn to respect and celebrate everyone's culture and identity.
